The verdict of the Bollywood Hungama Surfers Choice Music Awards 2010 is finally out. While we know that you are super eager to find out if your favourite nominee made the final cut, let us once again inform you that the results are purely based on your votes with no judges or jury calling the shots. Besides in order to ensure zero spamming and nullify multiple votes, we made the voting system go through a fool-proof 3-step process of Email Validation, Cookie Check and IP check. So fasten your seat-belts as we announce the winners of Bollywood Hungama Surfers Choice Music Awards 2010.

Best Soundtrack

The winner of the Best Soundtrack of 2010 is Dabangg, an album and a film that truly shook the nation. Music composer duo Sajid-Wajid along with guest composer Lalit Pandit are the people responsible for the super-success of this chartbusting album. After all who can forget the hysteria songs like 'Munni Badnaam' and 'Tere Mast Mast Do Nain' created.

When we contacted Wajid to give him this good news, he said, "I am really happy that the listeners have voted Dabangg as the Best Soundtrack of the year because all the songs in Dabangg are indeed original. At the end of the day it's the audience which makes or breaks a song and since these awards are decided purely on the basis of audience votes, it feels all the more special. God has been really kind. Our whole music team has worked very hard on creating the music of Dabangg and it feels great that the audience has taken to the album in such a big way. Sajid and I would like to thank the members of our music team such as Sandeep Shirodkar (who programs for us and also has done the background score of Dabangg), Jalees Sherwani (for writing the fantastic lyrics of Dabangg), Faiz Anwar (for writing 'Tere Mast Mast Do Nain') Eric Pillai (who mixed all the songs), Abani Tanti (who recorded all the songs) and my brother Irfan Kamal who has always been there with us. It has been a complete team effort of all these people without whom the music of Dabangg wouldn't have happened."

While Dabangg is the clear winner in this category with a whopping 31% votes, the runner-up is the soundtrack of Anjaana Anjaani (with 18% votes). The soundtrack given by talented duo of Vishal-Shekhar surely had the audience asking for more.

Since 7 out of the top 10 soundtracks of 2010 belong to the T-Series label, it is but natural that T-Series is the 'Music Company of the Year'.

Talking about this, the head honcho of T-Series, Bhushan Kumar said, "It's a really proud moment that 7 out of the Top 10 Soundtracks of 2010 are from the T-Series label. This just goes on to show that audience has really loved our music. We shall continue to set such high standards this year too as we have an interesting line-up of film music in 2011 as well."
