A twisted thug who decapitated a beloved pet cat is being hunted by police.
The cat's headless body was found by a horrified homeowner in Dorset.
The owner is said to be distraught after being informed of the gruesome discovery in St Martin's Road, Portland.
Investigating officer PC Jamie Heath, of Weymouth Police, said forensic tests revealed a sharp implement was used to cut Harry's head off during the night.
He added: 'This is a despicable act of cruelty which has left Harry's owners distraught and I am keen to speak with anyone who has information about the person responsible.'
RSPCA spokeswoman Jo Barr added: 'If somebody has done this deliberately it is utterly despicable and horrific.
'It shows no respect for animal life. I urge anyone who has any information to contact police.' Read More
